Language test – language certificates recognised by SEM (ST-01-001)

The Benedict School Zurich is a recognised TELC test centre and conducts the ST-01-001 language test as part of the Cantonal Integration Programme (KIP). This test serves as official proof of German language proficiency in accordance with the requirements of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM). It is often recommended as a final or follow-up examination after the integration programme ‘German for the Swiss employment market’ (S-01-036) and is in many cases required by authorities as part of integration agreements or naturalisation processes.

This offer is part of the Cantonal Integration Programme (KIP) and is listed on the official platform ‘Integration Services Zurich’ (IAZH) under the offer number mentioned.

The language test assesses language skills in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and serves as recognised proof for:

• Naturalisation applications
• Residence or settlement permits
• Professional recognition procedures
• Labour market integration
• Admission to universities

The ST-01-001 language test complements the ‘German for the Swiss employment market’ course (S-01-036):

• Participants have the opportunity to take the TELC exam after successfully completing the course.
• This offer can be used by participants as well as by referring authorities and specialist agencies.
• Authorities and partner organisations can assign both offers in combination.
• The support chain ranges from language support to official proof of language skills.

The examinations take place at our TELC Test Centre in Zurich (Vulkanstrasse 106). Levels A2, B1, B2 and C1 are tested in written and oral form. The examination dates are published regularly on our website ‘TELC examination centre’ and are based on the official TELC examination calendar.

• The test is recognised by SEM and is accepted throughout Switzerland.
• It is part of the Cantonal Integration Programme (KIP) with the offer number ST-01-001.
• It is conducted within the framework of the European examination association TELC – The European Language Certificates.
• The certificate is recognised in Switzerland and internationally as proof of language proficiency.
